It is my privilege to serve the congregation of Living Springs Church as Transition Pastor. My wife, Melanie, and I met as students at Moody Bible Institute, and we have served God in pastoral ministry since our marriage in 1989. Over the years, we have ministered to congregations in Chicago, Indiana, and Minnesota.
I grew up in Indiana, and it was in a junior high boys’ Sunday school class that I came to understand my own need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. As a young adult, I became very involved in the singles group at my church and grew in my faith tremendously. A group of us attended Urbana 84, and it was there that I received God’s call on my life to full-time, pastoral ministry.
The following fall, I enrolled at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where I received training in Pastoral Ministry. Upon graduation and marriage, my wife and I served at a multi-ethnic, multi-staffed church in inner-city Chicago, and I also began seminary training at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois. In 1991 I was ordained to ministry. I received my Master of Divinity degree in 1994. Over the years, I have continued my education as a life-long learner and have completed most of the requirements for a Doctor of Ministry degree, which I hope to complete soon.
God has blessed Melanie and me with four wonderful children, ages 24, 20, 16, and 12. We reside in Rogers and are active in the community in many ways. When I have time, I enjoy being with my family, swimming, watching college basketball and Notre Dame Football, and of course, reading.
It is my joy to fulfill God’s call in and through Living Springs Church, to the greater community and beyond, while Jesus delays His return. Nothing thrills my heart more than seeing people changed by the transforming power of Christ, giving themselves in devotion to Him! I look forward to Christ’s return and long to hear Him say to me, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.
